The painting celebrates those fleeting moments of connection in wild landscapes—the laughter shared between climbers, the camaraderie forged in less-than-ideal conditions, and the simple joy of being together in places that demand presence and resilience.

This work honours the UK climber's paradox: discomfort and belonging intertwined,  rain on the horizon, and with a squished sandwich in one hand making the decision to stay anyway...
