About the Artist
Hi, I’m Verity.
I’m a painter based in the UK, and I’ve been making art for as long as I can remember. My work is mostly oil and ink — I love the unpredictability of both. Oil takes its time, ink moves fast. Between the two I find something honest.
Most of my paintings come back to water in some way. Seascapes, storm skies, underwater worlds, creatures that live in the deep. I grew up near the coast and I think it never quite left me.
When I’m not painting, I’m usually climbing. Everything I sell is an original. I don’t do prints. I’d rather make something real and send it out into the world.
